Official Records and Custody Contacts
The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office is the main contact for parish jail bookings, current custody, and written requests for Sheriff-held booking material. Its online contact form is not monitored around the clock. Use 911 only for an emergency.

Choose the source by the question you need answered:
- For a parish booking photo, jail roster entry, recent release, or written records-request path, use the Jefferson Davis Parish booking hub and contact JDPSO.
- For a wanted listing or safe warrant verification, use Most Wanted Fugitives and the Sheriff or court contact listed there.
- For the report behind a Jennings, Welsh, or Lake Arthur Police arrest, contact that municipal department. A parish booking image may still be held by JDPSO.
- For a final case result, contact the Jefferson Davis Parish Clerk or the proper court. A jail release is not a disposition.
- For a person sentenced to state custody, use the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections inmate-information and public-information channels.
- For federal or immigration detention, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
- For release or transfer alerts, use the official LAVINE custody-notification system rather than a news story or unofficial index.
JDPSO publishes different addresses and numbers for administrative and facility purposes. Call first before an in-person visit. A narrow written request should include the legal name, booking date or short date range, arresting agency, and booking number if known.
